Lewd, crude and undeniably popular, the American Pie franchise is available in all its glory (or infamy perhaps) in the American Pie box set, which includes American Pie 1, American Pie 2 and American Pie 3: The Wedding.
The first American Pie film focuses on a group of friends who are intent on losing their virginity before graduating from high school. Jim Levenstein (played by Jason Biggs) has his sights set on Nadia, a Czechoslovakian exchange student. Kevin Myers (Thomas Ian Nicholas) attempts to mend his failing relationship with girlfriend Vicky. Paul Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas) takes the approach of spreading rumours regarding his sexual activities and Chris “Oz” Ostreicher (played by Chris Klein) thinks joining the school choir will prove a successful route to changing his jock persona. However, Jim’s interest changes to Michelle Flaherty (played by Alyson Hannigan of Buffy and How I Met Your Mother fame), who he takes to the school prom. The friends are successful with their endeavours, with Jim and Michelle having a one-night stand, Kevin and Vicky sleeping together and subsequently breaking up, Paul getting it on with Stifler’s (Seann William Scott) mum and Oz developing a close relationship with a girl from the choir (but he doesn’t tell his friends about it).
In American Pie 2, the friends reunite after their first year of college, determined to throw an epic summer party at a beach house. Jim asks Michelle for sexual advice as Nadia will be returning from travelling across the U.S. and he is keen to finally have sex with her. However, Jim develops feelings for Michelle and eventually declares how he feels for her at band camp.
In American Pie 3 Jim proposes to Michelle and his friends help to plan the wedding. The American Pie box set provides a crystal-clear Blu-ray view of the ups and downs of one of the most popular teen trilogies ever made.
